How did you get 70° weather! Not much happened here, it's 70°F and a bit humid.

You could just install a sink or bathtub drain in it. Attach a ball valve to the underside if the drain if you don't want to have to stick your hand in the yucky water to pull the plug.Does anyone here have elevated call Duck cages? I have some I bought used but somehow the guy didn't send the bathing tubs with them. I found drywall mud tubs that are the right siz and a nice 6 inches deep, but I know they usually drill a hole in the bottom and use a plug to stop them up. The problem is I don't know what plumbing pieces I'm looking for on Lowes or Menards site? Isn't it some sort of PVC they put in the bottom and then they use the stopper in that? I'm going round and round and it's making me crazy!
I looked at the sink and tub drains but they want about $35 each and I have 7 cages to do. I know what you mean about the PVC ball valves. We have them on our pool equipment and they break often. But what do you use at the tub interface, before the PVC valve? Would this work? https://www.lowes.com/pd/Road-Home-Push-Pull-Vanity-Sink-Assembly-in-White/1002751880You could just install a sink or bathtub drain in it. But I have the worst trouble with breaking those ball valves.View attachment 3016116

I think what J did was just cut a hole in the bottom of the tub and glued a piece of PVC in there first and put some kind of waterproof caulking around it. Then attach the ball valve to that. But I did not like that very much because that piece of PVC sticking up in the bottom made it hard to wash everything in down the drain.I looked at the sink and tub drains but they want about $35 each and I have 7 cages to do. That looks like a great idea to me.You could use a universal sink drain and plug.
