lemon peels were on that list of voodoo fly repellant. I think I'll set out some lemon peel and clove today and see how that goes.

I will say i have to give it 5 stars for a great outdoor air freshener if nothing else since we live next to the bog of eternal stench these days.
The feed mill has been washing their nastieness down the railroad ditch behind our house. Some days it's been practically unbearable to sit out here. And i blame that stench for so many flies too.

It seems like this is helping a little bit.
They are still buzzing around, but there are less flies landing on the table.
Smells good too.
It would probably work better indoors. Out here in the open the aroma can't build up like it would inside. View attachment 3529224
