calling any one from missouri

50º here this morning. We cleaned out gutters after yesterday’s fierce winds blew them full of leaves.
Our daughter suggested a name for our farm, “Dust in the Wind.”
No one could have more dust than me right now! We have all this bare ground still from the dirt work being done to build the place. Back in the summer the weeds got tall and the hubby sprayed chemical to keep it from growing up again. We need to get some equiptment in here and smooth it all out and plant some grass.
But until then...
It's nothin but dirt and dog 💩 around here. 🤣

Mason has been doing lots of dirt work himself. He's had such a good time i haven't stopped him from doing it which i will likely regret once things are smoothed out and ready to plant.
That is his special stick he brought with him from town btw. 😆

And then we have the crop circle..
Where the man set up all our dog pen panels in case we had to bug out before we could get the fence up.
Then he didn't wanna have to weed wack it so he sprayed.
That was some good chemical apparently.
That was back in july... still bare. 😑

We went to vote this morning, me, hubby and daughter. Only a few MO counties have anything on the ballot. Our county just had one thing. This was a use tax the county wants to charge, a sales tax for things we purchase elsewhere, like from Amazon. We wanted to be sure to say no Way, not fair. I wonder how many people will actually vote, maybe we 3 will make a difference.
It’s a nice drive down a country road in the fog. Saw a couple of deer in time to slow. They said we were the first ’customers.’ We were allowed to bring our little dogs in. IMG_6295.jpeg

It’s 68 here this morning!
Looks like about 900 people in our county went to the polls and more voted for the use tax than against. 🤷‍♂️
It got up to 82 yesterday. Today we’ll have that plus 40 mph winds!
Here’s a couple of our bantam EE’s. The cockerel has surprised us with his bright colors and wild feathers….This was the little gray chick with a dark head that earned the name Robin Hood.
