It's 5am and 29°F outside and I'm glad my cats use the litter box inside. I suspect they know what the temperature is outside as none wanted to go out in the catio this morning.

You're usually a bit colder than me and we have an official 27°F (at the airport) and the clock says 29°F.

25 here and my tiny little cabin is much more toasty than last year, this last year if weatherproofing and fixing little things on this cabin really paid off

I replace the LED's with a couple of red heat lamps when it gets below freezing in Coop Uno. Coop Deux has oil filled heaters so just have to turn one or two on depending on the temperature.

So it's an hour past sunrise and the door has been open and 3 hens are still on the roost right under the heat lamps in Coop Uno... I think they like the warmth.

Oh well cleaning the coop is suffering a delay of game for now so the old girls can stay warm. The two RIR's are a bit over 6 years old now being born on 8/16/17 at Cackle. The remaining 6 CQ's were born on 4/29/20 so they are about 3 1/2 years old now and don't lay like they used to, but that's OK too.
