calling any one from missouri

Yes! I am expecting babies!!! We have 6 that hatched last weekend more that should start Sunday! I have silkies, cochins, and marans in the incubator now... Sooooo excited!!!

There we go! Tis the season.

Need some new baby "brags" and pictures.......
Can't wait to see the hatches from those purdy blue and dark chockolate eggs pictured a few pages back.

I've got a flood of scovies hatching starting next week - mostly chocolates.
Dozen EE's and half dozen CCM's in about 12 days.
Close to 2 dozen BA and BA/BO crosses that started last week.
The legbars and a couple out of ameracuna hens that may be EE or straight will go under a scovy.

No bators here - all broodies or foster broodies.
Actually, that's why so many scovies - broody machines!
Plan on letting them foster - a lot.

I have silkies to try to get broodies... But i just started hatching so... Incubator for now!

That is my husband's way of making sure they don't drown. They loved it!

MsCL - too cute!

Went walk about and found yet another Scovy nest.

And

found a guinea nest in the old shed!
Good thing too, my starter flock is down to 7 birds, a pair of lilacs, pair of pied pearls and 3 purples.
Have seen the girls checking out nesting spots but I'm thrilled for eggys!
Debating wether to keep an eye on them and scoop up babies when they hatch or slip them in on a hen now and let her rear them.

Choc Orps?

Lucky you!!! I have looked everywhere and cant find my guineas nests! They disappear everyday about midday and show back up around 5 or so. They always come down the driveway together.
