Hello there! I finally found a Missouri thread! YAY! I live in south central MO, Practically FLW. I started raising chickens because i wanted to be more independent from the grocery stores since my job is no longer "safe" because its a govt job. oh well. Very excited to be on BYC and about this thread!!
FLW? Fort Leonard Wood??

Ohhhh bummer! Any idea what happened?

10 CCLB eggs supposed to be here in the morning from a breeder that got both 1st and 2nd lines directly from GreenFire Farms. Neat looking, auto sexing, blue eggs.....Yeah, I've had lust in my heart since I "discovered" the breed but GF has long waiting list, dosen't sell eggs anymore and at $100 a pop per chick......cough cough cough.
So I'm wearing depends I'm sooooooo excited!

Seems there's one other line independently brought over too so need to look into picking up a few more from that too. About as diverse a bloodline base as there is to be had.

I've got CCM's but think I want to switch to BCM's too - much darker chocolate eggs. Anybody interested in a trio or quad? LOL! Like to find a full Amerucana roo for my EE's too. Nice lady offered me a Lilac but clear on west side of the state and no road trips planned out that way in the forseeable future.

Oh, yeah FLW is Fort Leonard Wood. Magoonichicks is 6 miles from the gate and I'm 11. So I got a new chickie neighbor! Neener neener!

I know of some amerucana Roos... And he's much closer to you... Lake Ozark area. Let me find out what he sells them for. Do you want a particular age?

Just found a home for my 2 ameraucana roosters!!!! I sure wish I had known someone was looking for a couple. I hatched these 2 guys myself last year. They would be 1 the end of June. Dang Dang!

LOL! Gotta love this site! Thanks guys! What does the Ozark guy have?

Age isn't that big of a deal - just that it's the real deal, non-hatchery, non-EE niiiiiiice roo. Somebody's extra or that they've moved on from using.
Something other than black or wheaten, blue egger - my EE boy is dark wheaten color of Amerucana type. 6wk old babies from him on the ground and another 18eggs started brooding not quite a week ago. So I have time for a young male to mature and am OK with a mature roo.

Mom comes right through where the lilac is on her annual Branson trip, just have to see how soon she's planning on it.

Another scovy just gone broody so I may even decide to pick up a few eggs - be my luck they'd all hatch female tho since I really want a boy. (G)

Meanwhile the Crested Cream Legbar eggs arrived - with a couple extras!
