What breed of eggs do you have? I would drive up to warsaw area and we should have some if not all of our pens up in a month provided it ever stops raining.

"thedragonlady" on the buff orpington thread has a recipe, I think it is 3 parts oats, 3 parts scratch, and one part calf manna, soaks the entire mixture overnight.....contact her by private message to see if my memory is still working.hey all, I may have found an organic grain mill to supply those of us wanting corn/soy/gmo free grains to make our own feed. Has anyone else heard of this place in Missouri? http://www.pleasanthillgrain.com/buy_oat_groats_hulled_dehulled_whole_organic_oats.aspx
I'd be happy to split the cost if anyone else in or near SW Mo wants to purchase with me-- I don't have any particular feed recipe yet, but I'm seriously looking at the oat groats, red wheat, chia seeds, rye, millet, amaranth...
I have Pearl Gray, Lavender,Porcelain and white, but not sure how they paired up. so who knoww waht will come out of the eggs. This is my first time doing any of this and working with an incubator but will keep in contact with you and let you know
Unlike everyone else. I am on the northern border of Mo. About dead center in the state. Which sucks for me cuz I am around nobody or any swaps. 3-5 hr drive for a swap wouldn't even pay unless I could sell like 40 birds at least. Just to cover gas. And most Auction houses that used to sell poultry locally stopped or shut down.
Got invited to a swap this coming weekend but 5 hr drive can't justify it. Thats 1 way.
BTW I am between Bethany and Kirksville, middle of nowhere.
