calling any one from missouri

Thanks. There is that big store in Blue Springs closer to you there on 7 just south of 70, but they certainly aren't very helpful and are very limited on chicken feed brands. I will stop in there in the near future.
Feldmans I believe is the one that you are referring to. They have chick days on the occassion and they have some good supplies but their feed quality is less than stellar. But their dog food selection is great. :)

That's it couldn't think of the name. Also no one around to even give you a price on things that aren't marked. When I did find a kid who worked there, he seemed annoyed because I asked and could not figure it out. They don't seem to have good customer service reviews. MMMMM. My visit rather enforced that.

Hope you have good luck finding homes for your cockerels, no roosters allowed here. Well back to slowly working on this coop.

Bronchitis is a bit better today but still annoying as I do a bit and have to take a break. Very very slow progress.

Sorry to hear, jeria that you are having a hard time....
I went to poultry swap. Someone did have call ducks but no females. The meet was different than my previous visit. It just seemed muddy and stinky and distressing. I wouldn't want any animal from the conditions I saw most of them in.
If I want more birds, I'll raise them myself, or if I get lucky, I'll have a broody to do it for me.
Glad I didn't make it then. Lol had other plans for the weekend. Thanks all for the info!

Sue, curious, what is a call duck? Sorry the swap was so bad. Was it partly because of all the storms we have had?

call ducks are sweet cute noisy messy little ducks that don't get very big. I've heard they were originally bred for hunters to use as live decoys. Mostly just ornamental pets now.

I looked up call ducks, they are cuties and an interesting history. Here are a few links I found for sales. Mallard lane really pricey. Purely poultry has a min 6 bird order. the poultry show central has links to breeders.
Ya everything I find online is really pricey! I think I have found someone to hook me up so I'm good for now but thank you so much for your help!

Amazed at the changes in my chicks in the past week they have gotten so big and so many feathers !! I wish I could move them outside.

Not happy, more rain. Looks like much of the state will see some today. About to see how much I can do on my coop working inside my crowded 1 car garage --- no car inside until the coop is done unless they are predicting hail.

Jeria, I know what you mean. I have a brooder, a separate pen for the rooster we're having for dinner, timbers for my raised garden that was supposed to get finished today, AND 70 ft of fencing. All in a one car garage. Too many projects! :barnie

How old are your chicks now? I moved mine outside at five/six weeks, once they lost all their down.
