calling any one from missouri

I got 3 EE's from cackle to go with a country bred blue egg roo. Not bad looking at all I don't think. Actually, I think Cackle has very nice birds for a hatchery and thier stock pulls ribbons in shows.

Mixed eggs. The EE eggs from them run light olive to blue-green. They're laying about 5-6 a week each. Should put in CCM and something else to produce some OE's - providing the boy throws blue as I was told.
I've got a bunch of muscovies and no bator so I'm going to wait for the ducks to go broody and let them foster.
Such good moms I've heard.

Beautiful !!!!!!
Those girls came from Cackle last spring so that's what you can expect.
Muffs and tuffs in place. Was kind of disapointed not to get any blue blue eggs but hopefully the boy can give that a boost in the next gen.
Oh I can't wait ...

I really was hoping for LOTs of blue eggs

If you need any of your eggs hatched let me know,I have several incubators and one is a brand new Genesis I have not got to try yet :) I had ordered the bator a few days before we got the bad storm last week and the majority of my flock got wiped out from hail including my beloved roo. I only have 3 EE girls and 4 BO girls left, so redoing adding a new flock of EE's and the roos will be EE's as well. If all goes well I will be hatching EE babies next spring :)

Did you know we have a great Avian Vet in our area that treats chickens and does a mighty fine job of it.....Linda at Westside
No, I didn't. I'll keep that in mind, if I need someone in the future. I hope I don't/won't.
I have EE offspring from Cackle EE's. I had a friend who had them 3 years ago and they were so amazing that I hatched some of her eggs. SHe is no longer keeping chickens or I would have just got EE eggs from her again. Cackle's BO are extremely nice girls they are weighing about 9-10lbs and do go broody, when they aren't the lay very well. I have just become so partial to the EE's I love their size and looks and most of all the personaities.
I just put the eggs I was keeping in the fridge, but I could collect some for you if you'd like. My roo has a pea comb so he should continue to pass on blue eggs to my pea comb blue-egg laying hen. The two colors of my chickens should produce some interesting chick colors.

Hansel and Snowey are gorgeous! I think I am going to be good on birds for a bit, I currently have 8, 3 yr old hens and the I have 18 chicks on the 21st. But I sure wish I would have known you were local before I ordered more birds. I also don't have anything set up to brood anymore than one batch of chicks at a time.

So far I have 24 that have hatched and one zipping right now.

I put 23 of them in the brooder. I left one in the hatcher to dry off a little more.
Here are some pictures.

Due to some life changes, I have been out of chickens for a bit... but jumping back in! LOL I have missed my chickens.

Starting back up with my frizzled turken project: 5 turken hens and have to decide which frizzled roos I want out of choice of 3.

And got me some barred rock babies 3 of 20 shown:

I am sooooo excited!!!
