calling any one from missouri

Mine were "guaranteed June 25 by 12 noon", they did not get here till 3:30 pm today, but all are doing quite well. Mine were held along with others in Chicago as a response to the heat. I wasn't happy about the delay, but it was done to protect the chicks from the heat in the truck, so can't be too upset.

Unfortunately even hotter tommorow - and with no update since leaving origional sort facility - no idea where they are. The PO here's express arrives at 6 AM. Would have been overnight, should have been - weren't .

I'm glad you're birds got to you ok. Hope these do too - that's the main thing. Opening a box to half cooked chicks is NOT appetizing.

That feed calculator you can omit corn and what ever else you need to and find out the ratios of what you can have and can get to come up with a good feed. One of the advantages of raising your own. Hope it helps. Chooks is in the natural foods biz and in big time poultry person so knows her stuff.

It is kinda hard to find here's the link: https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/chookschicks-hints-for-henthusiasts

all kinds of good info there besides feed recipies!

They finally have a good handle on nipple waterer. It's been a lot of this momma hen finger pecking while they crowd around and try to pull them off. Funny little babies! I am wondering when the green tint of their poo will subside, they were given Gro-Gel with their feed after arriving, and again this morning. I just cleaned the feeder again, this time only giving them feed with a little bit of starter grit.

Well the legbars finially made it here - day late but didn't looked abused or distressed - just dang glad to be out of that box!

Now express with a guarenteed delivery date and time - if they don't make that supposed to refund the postage.
We'll see. Customer service I called yesterday and counter clerk today verified twas so. $30 is $30.
