Woohoo! I hear peeping in the hatcher. They're due to hatch tomorrow but I already have 3 eggs pipped and a 4th one rocking! This is my first hatch of the year and it always excites me.

Where did you get your start in the Australorp?

My first of the year is the 18th, three brahma eggs and 8 australorp

We got spoiled in December and January. It was a fairly mild winter Up until February,,,At here I Eastern/ central Mo
And, I cant work in cold weather (Masonry) I really need a break in the weather...

I got my rooster from a family down near Amsterdam and my girls came from a family near Long Lane/Buffalo area.

I'm excited to see those spring temps in the forecast. Even today we had above freezing with sunshine. Was a heat wave. My babies were glad to stretch their wings today.
