The Ozark Empire Fair, which begins this week, has their poultry show Aug 4 and 5. I always enjoy going to see the chickens.
Are there any of you BYC people showing your birds there this year? If so, what kind?

French Black Copper. I'm bringing four.
I'm not sure, but I'm afraid they will be the only ones. Have you seen any there before?

We weren't able to go last year...before that, I was new to chickens and just enjoying them all, so I wouldn't know. I'm going to really enjoy it this year.

Speaking of fairs, the MO state fair in Sedalia has their poultry show Thurs, Aug 10...anyone going to enter?
We have to decide if we want to make the 2 1/2 hr drive a week before driving even further to see the eclipse. Here's the info on the fair..

Yeah, I'm not going to that one. You have to leave your bird there all week in that tiny cage. Sedalia has shows in Spring and fall that I like to go to. About a thousand birds come
