calling any one from missouri

Oolala! I like the pink with yellow.

I’ll trade you a grumpy pack rat for it ;)
We have already one!

I went out to the irises, put a little stump under them, and soon had two hens vying for the chance to be the diva-- Sylvie the Sebright, and Rocket the top hen. It's hard to juggle a handful of sunflower seeds, two bickering birds, and a camera!

Lol, my wife had one chew one of the fuel injection plug wires on her car right after we moved here... right away I could tell it was a pack rat from the little footprints on the dusty manifold cover... but it took us a bit to figure out what it had chewed...

She was not impressed with my track indentification skills... or my mechanic skills... but we fixed it ourselves and I caught the rat the next day.

Nice!

I looked at that contest thread earlier... I think it’s gonna be hard to compete with the ducklings ... they kind have the deck stacked in their favor as far as photogenic goes :hmm @shawluvsbirds might have an advantage

Yes, about the ducklings, they are priceless. But, I love doing this. My chickens love doing this. So I went out again, and Sylvie was all about "photograph me! me! me! Aren't I adorable!" and standing up tall, trying to look pretty, then the pushy leghorns arrived.

They are real hams. Charlotte and Cowgirl. They posed and posed like the divas they are. "This is my good side! Wait, try it from this angle, should I look at the flower?" It was really funny.
iris w Charlotte2.jpg iris w Cowgirl.jpg I may go with one from today, or maybe I can get more flowers in another tomorrow.

No flowers or wood rats here and I've had my share of them in the past. I keep traps out year round for those destructive little buggers. A guy from university in Ill was telling me he was going to Ark to trap some wood rats and told him to stop by here on his way down, he said what for, I said to catch some wood rats. He didn't think that they were this far north but we have proof.

Got a roundtuit this morning and figured out how I wanted to knit a tomato stake on my deck planters with some paracord I had. The right one is the final version. I'll finish the last two tomorrow then rework the bottom of the first one. My tomatoes grew 7'-8' last year in them and it was a hassle trying to keep them in lol.
