Forecasts promised this would be a non-rainy day....but already this morning we have had 1.2" and severe thunderstorm warning. Flood warnings too for all the low areas. Our house is high and dry but our little stream down the hill is a raging river right now, and all that water has to go somewhere....

Looks like it’s headed our way

It’s been sunny here so far... the tiger lilies were looking nice this morning...

They closed our road due to bridge being out, and/or road washed out. We have to go around the long way...We walked down to take a look--there was a rat snake down in the hole by the bridge.

We had a very brief downpour here. It lasted less than 5 minutes!! I got all the grass cut and found a very large snake skin in the yard. Every year we find a 5 foot long black snake in a nest box trying to steal some eggs. So far that is the only thing it has managed to get. One year the black snake ate the ceramic fake egg. I hadn't realized it was the fake egg in its belly until after i released it into the woods and went back to collect eggs. I'm sure the poor thing died a miserable death.

We rode the bike to Eminence to get a Butterscotch ice cream in a waffle cone at the Dairy Shack. A bit windy but a nice day for a ride.

Yea they are very good and so is the deep fried hot dog but we had a rack of ribs going on the grill when we got home so I had to skip that.
