You know what they remind me of at this point? Their little top-knobs make me think of the children in The King and I, their costumes:

Our 2nd batch of bluebirds have fledged!

Mrs. Blue was five kinds of aggravated when I walked by, so I thought maybe there was a snake around or something...then I saw this guy pretending to be flower or a rock.

I picked him up and put him in a tree, from which he promptly flew and crashed into the car, so I tried again... crashed into the tractor... the third time he sat on a branch for two seconds... then flew to the ground in the woods.

Opps Ellsinore is North West of Poplar Bluff, Fisk is the next tiny town to the East of Poplar Bluff. Where you turn West on 60 to get to Ellsinore I'm a few miles North on 67. So you are a pretty close neighbor.

Oh cool! I just took my cockerels to the Mennonites outside of ellsinore to prep 'em. They have a garden and greenhouse on the road that goes down beside the log cabin. She does good work.

This what I use, it’s the fast acting kind that can pose a threat to pets that eat the poisoned rodent...

I picked up some of that and will use it in my rat traps, once they enter they can't get out. And I feel safe using it in the pole barn as the feral cat seems to spend her day following me back and forth from the house to the shop and napping on the deck. And I have to carry her around a lot... she has come a long way since winter.
