It seems the person who wanted some female calls is never going to get a hold of me.
I should really run over there and try to re home some. . but I don't know.
Probably won't though. . kids are staying the night tonight.

It's going to be really hot, there may not be a lot of buyers or sellers. The bit of shade is just that. A bit.
And then a cool down Monday!!!!!!!!!
 
Well today's cricket rodeo was different, Monique decided to fly up and land on my arm, she's the one that likes to fly up to my shoulder and ride around while I walk. It so reminded me of that photo of @SueT where she was teaching the small chicken to fly up to her arm... but Monique is not small lol. I might have to have the chicken rodeo with a long sleeve shirt on from now on so I don't get scratched...

Today I met someone on the Spitzhauben thread who raises Nankins, which my orphan buddy is, and got all kinds of interesting info about this rare breed. I found my Nankin at Atwoods, and they get chicks from Ideal. Ideal's Nankins, he said, are a 'recovery strain' crossed with OEGB or Dutch. The original breed is on the critically endangered list w the livestock conservancy. So I feel lucky to get to experience this one. Maybe I am not rehoming it after all.....

The big news here today is I got my old truck’s AC recharged finally ... I don’t know if the rest of you have noticed... but it’s been a bit warm out lately ;)

I’d tried three times to add Freon and it wouldn’t take, so I went to borrow a different hose from my neighbor thinking that it must be something wrong with mine....

That’s when I noticed that the can of Freon he had was different than the ones I had... apparently the ones I had were some sorta new “self sealing” cans that require an adapter :he

Long story short I have cold air again!
