wow! Are you over near Springfield? I see they have a much lower chance of rain than we do. The Ozark Empire Fair poultry show is today and tomorrow. We probably won't go tho. We don't like having to pay to park and to enter. Altho it is fun to get Pineapple Whip!!!!!

Nope, our closest ‘big town’ is Rolla...

I just looked and we only have a 20% chance of rain for tomorrow, so that system must be tracking north...

What’s a pineapple whip? That sounds good ... when I go to KC, I often go to a spot that has pineapple shakes!

I should look in the electrical co op magazine for upcoming fairs and events around us... I think the new one arrived a couple days ago.

Pineapple Whip! It's a staple treat in Springfield! Their little stands may be at local fairs in other areas too. It's like a pineapple sorbet.....

If you go to the State Fair in Sedalia you may find it there....we did the year we went. The poultry exhibit was impressive there! But it's a long way for us, maybe not for you...

Ahh that’s right.... I’ve seen those around Springfield... but have never stopped at one.

I go through Sedalia periodically... but it’s been forever since I’ve been to the state fair....

I always threaten to stop and get a ‘goober burger’ from the historic Wheel In, just so I can say I have... but never do, peanut butter on a hamburger doesn’t speak to me, but I’d try it

I’ve never actually been to a poultry show... I’m afraid if they don’t trot the birds around on a leash like they do at dog shows I’d be disappointed

oh my gosh, if you live within reasonable distance of Sedalia, and have time it's well worth it to go to the poultry exhibit building next week. You can walk up and down row after row of chickens and other poultry. Gorgeous birds.
Goober burgers! Well, there are savory sauces made from peanuts. We dipped our shrimp rolls in a most delicious spicy peanut sauce yesterday at Marian Days. YUM!!!

I used to go with my dad to the farm shows as a kid and that was the only good thing about sitting there all day.
