I finally found a bug I like, a kung fu killer for sure a praying mantis on my Japanese pepper plant.

I also found some more tobacco hornworms and some had wasp eggs on them... is there no end to them?

54F this morning... going to get some branches burned and split firewood.

Molly has been molting like a super star... feathers all over the place and she looks wild. I guess it's better than molting in the middle of winter.

It’s a great morning for doing that kinda work!

This is Fred. He builds his webs outside the back door, and invariably we walk thru part of it each morning. But he doesn't give up. He stays out of the middle of the walk zone, and even if he loses a strand, the web is still usable. Here he is repairing the damage yet again.....
