calling any one from missouri

Just cold rain here 46°F.

I was talking to the lady that owns a local package store and she was telling me about one of her hens. She waits for the cats to finish eating and then she hops up on the porch and goes into each cat house and cleans up the remaining cat food. She said that is the only hen that lays an egg everyday.

I'm visiting kids in Hood River Oregon, and it's 37°F here this morning.
Yesterday evening, for Halloween, the town closed off several downtown blocks to traffic, so kids could trick or treat at the many businesses, it was a lot of fun. The ice cream shop gave free ice cream cones to everyone of all ages. There was a long line. Granddaughter went back for seconds, in spite of temps in low 40's. They close for the winter after Halloween so they want to use up their inventory....
DH says it's 28 back in SWMO....

Yeah! It's cold!

Good morning, I'm in Portland where my other daughter lives. These are the big fir trees in her back yard, catching the early sunlight...They are too tall to photograph entire height.

It was just above freezing here at sunrise. DH says another hard freeze in SWMO, but will be highs in 50s ...
