Nothing but more cold rain and mud here. Dogs and ducks are a filthy mess.

We've had to find a new route to get to town, as mud/potholes have made our road nearly impassable to the south. Neighbor says even her 4WD slips and slides on the hill. I asked her who to call about road issues. She gave me the names of 2 guys on the township board, but added, "Good luck getting them to do anything, they won't even talk to me. They're a couple of drunks!"
So I called the county commissioner but had to leave a message.

Same situation here in my county. My township is pretty good. But north of me where my folks are is a different township and the grader drags their roads maybe once a year.

Most townships it seems don't have enough money to pay a maintainer operator to run full time. But most people can't afford to work part time.
