calling any one from missouri

Most townships it seems don't have enough money to pay a maintainer operator to run full time. But most people can't afford to work part time.

I'd bet if they looked they could find someone that is semi retired and would like some part time work...

True, but its a full time job keeping some of the township roads in shape. The roads have gotten in such bad shape some of them it'll take two years to get them back to where they were. I'm just glad they can drag them a couple times a keep rock on them. Others think the grader should go by once a week with no idea the cost of machine and operator.

Just buying a used full size grader can cost up to $300,000 and to operate $125-$150 per hour so yea the cost adds up real quick for cash strapped counties with small populations. I wonder if there are any state programs to get help from MODOT with their fine always new million dollar graders they have.

I just wanted to reach out and see if anyone has any Khaki Campbell ducks near Perryville/Cape area. Preferably looking for a Drake. Can't find any around here. Thinking about just ordering them through buchiets but would like to look around first.

Did you check Craigslist? They are pretty common, shouldn't be to hard to find.

Maybe they could buy used from MODOT for a good price?

My buddy who works for MODOT actually bought a backhoe that was sold at auction by MODOT. They have regular auctions to get rid of surplus equipment. The backhoe he got was 100 times newer than the one I have lol but he paid more for it.

We have an Amish neighbor who has a skidsteer, and he has repaired the road on many occasions, but he said there has to be rock to move around.
We noticed they spread rock on the road parallel to ours. (they didn't grade it, just dumped the rock over potholes.) Maybe we're next! I don't know it that's the same township as us.
