My boss texted me early this morning. I thought she was going to say no school!
Nope. Just asking a question.
My hands weren't working real great that early. . so I could barley text back.
Then when I went get out of bed phone still in hand. . it had gone to lock screen but backlight was on. I dialed 911. :th
Finally got that taken care of, while still ha asleep trying to give my name address and all. . .no emergency sorry people. .
Managed to get around to morning chores. Everything frozen shut. Car door frozen shut. .:barnie
Thought about calling 911 again. 😂

I did some sperimenting building a cold frame for one of my deck planters... by golly it worked it's 35°F outside and inside the cold frame it's 80°F. I'm really impressed how well it seems to work.

I made a frame for the lid and used some 8 mill clear plastic to cover it.

A little fun with Fibonacci and drawing out the spiral cam.
cold-frame-03.jpg cold-frame-04.jpg

The cam allows you to just crack the lid or about 1/2 way open or anywhere in between.
cold-frame-05.jpg cold-frame-06.jpg

And allows you to close the lid when rotated to the flat spot.

Sitting on the deck planter.

And lastly the thermometer with humidity dial so I can tell whats going on inside without sticking my head in the measure them.

It's -3 F on my personal weather station on my deck this morning ! Supposed to be windy today as well, but warmer than yesterday !

We processed over 250 pounds of deer, and pig parts, yesterday ….. 100 lbs brats, 75 lbs breakfast sausage (50 regular, and 25 maple), 50 lbs summer sausage, and 25 lbs of sweet Italian sausage !
