I was so over the rain. Looks like a nice week coming. It's about time.
Does anyone have fall blooming crocus? Apparently that is the source of saffron.

Weather is looking good here, I just read in my Missouri planting guide for the Southern region it's time to plant carrots. My buddy in Baton Rouge turned me on to some Tender Sweet Carrot seeds. Need to get them in the ground. Do carrots like full sun or a bit of shade?

It was a nice afternoon a bit overcast but Monique took a nap in my lap.

Rode the mountain bike around Wolf Creek and down by the creek bed there were millions of daffodils... I should have stopped and taken a photo.

In the winter its really cold, and snows to much.. then once the snow melts, its a total mud hole, then it will snow again. then once its spring it rains like a whole bunch, then its a mud hole again. and in the morning the mud freezes and you twist your ankle. then in the summer its so freaking hot you'll get heat stroke, then in the fall it some times starts snowing.... EARLY. then it repeats....

I’m guessing those are crocus?

have they been there long? I’ve thought about planting some but have head squirrels and chipmunks dig them up a lot... maybe I should give them a try and see.

They have been here from before we ever bought the house, so more than 13 or 14 years. We have a lot of squirrels and chipmunks but they either don't dig many up or we just have so many it doesn't matter.

I have the Spring ones. I'll have to pay attention this Fall and see if I see any come up any where then.
