She is doing well but her foot is turned out, and she's just going to be different. She can stand, walk, move fast, scratch her head w either foot, etc. But she's not 'normal.' I am pretty sure she's a female as I've raised 3 generations of her family, and the pullets look smaller and darker in color as she is, the boys are bigger and lighter in color. She is very tolerant of being handled, and I think she'll be a good chicken.

We got very strong winds and thunderstorm around 3 am. I don't see any damage outside. We also got 1 1/2" of rain. Tues and Wed we got 2"....

Gorgeous! My yellows were just opening when the rain slammed them last week. Ah well, next year!

There was a huge clap of thunder in the middle of the night that shook the whole house. The hound dog jumped in bed and wedged his way in between us like a frightened child.

Wait... it's not raining right now! There is a break in the clouds ... a bright light! .... aaaand ..... it's gone!

I saw this black vulture near Springfield today, it was trying to make a ‘diller basket...

I don’t think I’ve ever seen one in Missouri before... maybe the common turkey vultures that we see are having guest for dinner

I also spotted some wild columbine at the river today
