Forgot to ask my mom what this shrub is...it looks like mini rose but if it is it's huge. It sure is loaded with blooms this year!View attachment 2173075

Knockout Rose?
Wow, your worms sound so much more interesting than the ones in our garden here in the uk, the most exciting worms I found are ‘earthworms’ approx 8-12 cm long slimy and come out when it rains, chickens adore them!

We have those

We have earthworms here to. (Waving hello) I am from SE MO, at least I live here now. I am "from" lots of places in the beautiful US of A, mostly in the hot, dry SW part of the country: Denver, CO, New Mexico, and Arizona mostly. Living in what to me is practically a rain forest is, shall we say, a mixed blessing for me! 😀

Me too, I was born on Kodiak Island and lived in Knoxville Tennessee, Anchorage, New Orleans, Anchorage, New Orleans, Mississippi Gulf Coast and LaPlace Louisiana before calling Swamp East Missouri my home now for the last 23 years... this is it for me way too much stuff piled up to even think about moving again.

@OhZark Biddies
I've heard there is a shortage of adoptable pets due to coronavirus....you may be able to find homes for them easily.

That’s kinda good news, huh?

Although, as I have it figured we’ll keep one ( I’m polling for the grey one, but we’ll see)....

The fella my sis originally rehomed Eleanor to wanted a good mouser.... but she decided his barn was lacking in the lifestyle improvements that she required, and so trekked back 6 miles to my sis’s place...

so I’m thinking he needs three mousers, one to keep the other company, plus a spare in case misfortune occurs...

So we keep 1, and farmer takes 3.... means we’re down to 2....

My wife’s niece ( who named her) and her older bother are 5 and 8 ... so it goes with out saying theY need 2 kittens, lol

We’ll see ... but it is great to know that there is a want for these littles!

i hatched here, then bounced around a bit...but landed here again... I love it here.., but I’ve loved it lots of places, lol

it is the stuff that keep us anchored though isn’t it🙄 i sometimes think of hawking it all and starting someplace new... but I’d miss my mail lady 😉

I bet she would miss you too. 🤣

Hmmm... maybe, lol

she’s been running this route since 1989 ... which means she probably delivered my selective service notification to this old house, back then ...

when we moved back here to the old place... it was a comfort to know that somethings remain the same...

she’s always looked out for all the old folks on the route... including my dad when he achieved that status...

A couple years back I was giving the eye to an old wooden dowl ‘chicken coop’ over at an auction and looked up to see who was watching ( figuring they’d be my competition) and it was her, lol...

I didn’t bid against her... and she got a heck of a bargain... it was destined to become a coffee table as i recall...

i do love our mail carrier, if she retires to Hawaii... I’m probably following her there 😉
