Our Walmart in Lamar wasn’t crowded from 9-10 am. I think the Lamartians do their Black Friday shopping in Joplin.....

ROFL! Lamartians?! Seriously? I love it. There is a Lamar in Colorado too, but I never thought to call the residents Lamartians!

The plumber was here working on the Poplar Bluff house today. We now have 2 working toilets and 2 working bathroom sinks. He will be back tomorrow and then we should hopefully have the showers and the kitchen sink working.
Almost all of the rooms are drywalled now ( upstairs anyway).
I have a real estate agent coming by tomorrow to give me their opinion about what all I need to get finished before we list it.

I (had my hubby buy) finally got an automatic door opener. It works great!
Especially when I’m not home. My hubby is not an early riser and the chickens weren’t getting out until in the afternoon. Now I know they get let out at 7:30 every morning. It closes up around 5:30. I change the time as the days lengthen or shorten. It has definitely made things much easier!

The Lamar Christmas parade was short and sweet. They went around the town square. It was pretty dark out and not everyone was well lit, but anyway....it consisted of the high school band, every emergency vehicle in the county flashing their lights, a tire dealer’s float with a Christmas tree made out of tires, a couple of antique tractors pulling lit up wagons, a church float with kids dressed up in a Nativity scene, a miniature horse pulling a lit up cart, 2 people w dogs dressed in lights, 2 horseback riders, and a horse pulling a lit up carriage.
It took 11 minutes. Then the band members walked back to the school and we walked alongside them back to our car.
The only pic I took was of the courthouse...
I do appreciate our small town, and its charming traditions.
