Ollie the Adventure Cat on top of my car.


(The reason I put stickers on my car is that I spot-painted areas that I had repaired from bad peeling, and the stickers are hiding discrepancies.). The little black cat is Jiji from ‘Kiki’s Delivery Service,’ my favorite animated film...but was put there in honor of Ollie, who was very small at the time and looked just like him.

We celebrated Christmas a little early with part of the family. The only ones not here is my middle son and his family. We got together with the the Friday before this one.

I have a new assistant in the Machine Shop for a while. Mable was just standing all the time and all fluffed up as big as a basket ball with her head tucked under a wing most of the day.

Now she is in the warm Machine Shop and is starting to eat a bit. She has the green apple trots as my Grandpa used to put it.


She needs a bath real bad! Any volunteers? At least she is starting to move around a bit and peck at things...

Couldn't find a whole turkey breast to brine so a couple of Cornish hens are in the apple cider brine for an overnight soak.
