I’m cold too. I just was outside taking care of animals. It’s 18 out but the windchill makes it feel like 6.
The locks were frozen on the gate. I made sure everyone had thawed water ( if they drink it quickly enough) and plenty of food.
I’m supposed to get my Covid booster today but when I looked at my appointment it says Flu shot.
I got my flu shot in November ! My husband had the same problem ( different company ). I’m going to show up and hope I can get the booster. I did mine online and he had scheduled his over an automated phone call. He did not end up getting his booster. He misplaced his shot card so Walgreens wouldn’t give him the booster because they wouldn’t believe that he got the original one (Johnson & Johnson ) back in March. So next time we get to Poplar Bluff we will have to see if Key Drugs can give him a duplicate card.

Sealed off all the pneumonia holes in the older coop except the soffit vents and added a couple of 100w ceramic heaters above them. With only 3 hens left in the older coop they don't need as much ventilation.

In the bigger coop I put two 600w oil filled heaters under the poop table and closed a few windows so no drafts. Everyone seemed to adjust quickly today with the parade of treats this afternoon.

The score this morning is JT 1 and Cold 0!
It got down to 19°F this morning and Coop Deux was 36.7°F so the heaters worked to delay the cold getting inside.

I need to put a thermocouple in Coop Uno so I can see what the temperature is in there.
