My chickens don't use a coop, I haven't checked them yet but I can hear several roosters crowing so I'm guessing they made it through unscathed. Fingers crossed the pigs and goats are doing well

Mason wants to go out and play... but he wants me to go too. He makes that obvious by standing here pointing at my coat and whimpering. Someone needs to tell him he's a coonhound not a pointer.

When someone uses the saying they keep "hounding me" this is what it means. In the corner by the gun cabinet is his flirt pole. In that basket by the desk are his leashes. He is not giving up. This has been going on all morning.

He's still just a little bit worried there might be a monster in that vent.. that's the only reason i can keep the flirt pole over there in that corner without him getting it. Rofl.

I developed a theory: I might not survive winter in Minnesota or New Hampshire (where grandpa grew up), despite my ample insulation.

Some of our people were supposed to have lived in Quebec, but -10*F ( not incl. Wind chill) feels within 15* of the lowest survivable temperature for me...while moving and wearing all my hunting gear (including hot hands). Thanking God I live in Missouri and at this latitude.

If you don't have a Norwegian in your home, get yourself a wood stove to keep you warm at night.

Hey all, we made through the night unscathed. But they will not come out. I don't want to put water inside due to spillage. Is moisture rich food enough to keep them hydrated?
