Mine could never figure out the nipples.
All mine started out as baby chicks W the vertical type. 4C93463B-4CBB-4ADF-892E-7C2B7BB982B7.jpeg Early on, there were some adults that learned from watching the chicks drink, but thereafter they all used them and still do in the summer. I think it made it easier to understand the horizontal nipples.

How did he turn the base? I always have grip marks from the holder thingy...

I asked him, he said, “I have some Cole jaws, and I mount the face of the bowl on that, and bring the tail stock up with a small pad to push against the base of the bowl. Then I cut off any crush marks.”

Storm system is arriving here. There is a tornado warning in OK. So far no watches for MO.

I was putzing around on the lathe making a practice bowl and it came out better than I hoped so I thought I'd share it with you folks. The wife saw that and said "That's Mine".

Those are spectacular!

I went to get my oil changed at sawyer in Lamar today, had a 12:30 appt and didn’t get out of there until after TWO!

BUT.
They must be running a special. It only cost 31.45 and they rotated my tires!
Maybe because hubby bought tires there recently? Idk.
But i felt better about wasting 2 hours of my life sitting there watching the weather station.
