Is it green wood?
This time it was not green wood, it came from a long dead tree that he is cutting up for firewood. It takes a long time for Osage to dry, he said. He rough turns the green wood bowls, leaving it oversize, finishing them much later, sometimes in a year or two.
otated my tires!
Maybe because hubby bought tires there recently?
If you buy tires from them you get free rotation.

I glued 3 strips of white oak and two strips of black walnut into a long strip, cleaned that up on the jointer and planer so it was nice and square then cut off a bunch of 30° pieces and reversed one and glued them together then cut the ends off to make them square again.

While it's in the lathe chuck I apply two coats of Tried and True Varnish Oil and burnish each coat with a clean rag with the lathe running in low gear.
