We got 19 eggs last week. Yesterday we got 4, so I think the girls are ramping up production——happy days are here again.

We’re getting 1 a day out of 10 hens because our flock is late molters so instead of molting in fall they molt mid winter

Thanks, the top is made from small strips of red oak that other wise would be kindling. The inner edge is some black walnut. The handle I made from 3 strips of black walnut and 2 strips of poplar. I wish I could say it came out this way the first time but it didn't, the first try was a learning experience for sure.

I was looking at Cackle Hatchery Website. They have hatching eggs available, including this ‘ultra rare breed potluck.’

I had to google a lot of these to see/hear them
They do not sell all these breeds as chicks, and with only a handful of them can you order only that type of egg. I wish I could pick and choose from this list!

So, JT, the eggs in the egg drawer are not refrigerated? And, how deep is the drawer? I mean, how many layers of egg cartons can it hold? That's quite a set-up!

It holds 4 dozen eggs, I have a carton for medium, large, extra large and jumbo.

No refrigeration is needed if you don't wash the eggs.
