I made a couple of ant blockers for the hummingbird feeders from some copper sheet I had laying around. I made one from a plastic service entrance cover but didn't take a photo of it.

The reese's peanut butter cup wrapper ant blocker.

We had storm warnings but zero rain, no storms. It’s cloudy today! Supposed to be 100º or higher but maybe this will keep it cooler.
🥚. I gave a broody hen some eggs on 12th. So this is day 5? I tried candling when she was off the nest, and not sure what I’m seeing. They all have some sort of development. One may have a blood ring. I’ve ordered a better candling light.
Can the weather be too hot for hatching eggs?
I am not worried if these eggs don’t hatch, but would have to decide what to do about mama hen.

Unless the temps get well above the body temp of a chicken (~106°F IIRC) I don't see a problem with hatching.

My son was supposed to be getting transferred to an inpatient PT/OT place today or tomorrow but today we found out that he is too advanced for their inpatient program. 😳 So in the next day or 2 they are discharging him to my house and he will go to a day program PT/OT place. They said it’s like a full time job. He gets picked up in the morning does PT/OT, has lunch there and then does more therapy and then comes home. He should do ghat for 2 months or so and then can transition to 1 or 2 hours of PT/OT three times a week. They said he will need to continue therapy for a long time to prevent his skin from shrinking up which would cause him to go in for more surgeries.
Edited to add: the program will work with him on skills like cooking and cleaning ( adapting to his new limitations) as well as regular PT/OT stuff. ❤️
