Speaking of migration to Mexico, I have seen a lot of Monarch butterflies lately! All heading south…..
Saw 5 while driving into town this morning, almost hit 2 of them w my car…
So I went outside just now to check the thistle plant we allowed to grow in the back yard. It has just one flower left, and there was a monarch on it. But I couldn’t get a pic before it flitted away.Then another passed thru, without stopping! Que le vaya bienView attachment 3650463

Yep, Alot of Monarch Butterflies, Sadly my favorite Bird the Eastern Whip-Poor-Will has left aswell , Winters on its way

And let me tell ya when they all cut loose quacking under this metal roof it is quite deafening.

This is one of the bantam EE pullets, she’s very curious and friendly. I call her Pastel. They’re up on the shade cloth canopy over their door….

I only have one Snowy Drake left after I had problems with a Bald Eagle, But now that I'm penning them up hopefully I'll be getting a pair Thursday!

Mine are just pet quality but if you want more later in towards spring i could probably hook ya up with eggs or ducklings. I'm in southwest Mo.

I grew up hearing those every evening and they are all but gone up here. Make me so sad. I miss them and hearing and seeing quail.
