calling any one from missouri

This thread is like a ghost town these days. What has happened?

I am going to purchase some bantam phoenix eggs from a lady in the Joplin area. Any chance anyone is from that area that is headed towards Columbia? Might check out the chicken train to see.

Yes it has been very quiet in here lately.
I hope you find someone coming this way Missy3b.
You must be in my neck of the woods if you are near Columbia. I just north of Moberly.

Hi all. I have not posted in a really long time. Been very busy here. Had a dog attack in July and am still trying to recover. My blue Andalusians are laying, but I just penned them together for the first time 2 days ago, so hopefully I will have eggs available in the next few weeks. I have a trio of Phoenix bantams that I got from Boggy Bottom Bantams in Georgia. They are not laying yet, but I am hoping they will start soon. My silkies are just starting to lay, I have them in a pen with my Frizzled Cochin bantams, so they will be Silkies and Sizzles in blue, black, and splash. I am looking for a D'Uccle Roo. I lost mine in the dog attack. I have 2 porcelain pullets, a mille fluer pullet, and a lavendar pullet. I also have a black mottled pullet. I am also looking for some heritage RIR rosecomb bantams (I have 1 pair right now). And some Barred Rock bantams (I also have 1 pair of those). I hope everyone is doing well. Gotta keep this thread going!

Small world Mopargal. I just PM's you back about the egg train and told you I was looking at purchasing bantam phoenix eggs. I had talked, through email, to Boggy Bottoms in Georgia but found the lady in Joplin that has phoenix from Georgia. Hoping to order eggs any day when she PMS me back.

My youngest son's b-day is Sunday and we got him an incubator. He will be so excited. There may be no limit to how many chickens we have once he gets his bator.

Hi! I'm from the Lake of the Ozarks area. We got our first chickens this last spring. I call them our rescue chicks because my sister had them from a day old and they were getting picked on to death by the other "girls". So since we had a coop and no chicks, we rescued them for her. Now we have 5 Rhode Island Reds and a rooster that I guess is a mutt.

Forgot to mention that the frst 5 are Polish... (we had 5 but now have 4)

Do u know what kind of polishes?

We have 2 White crested black (had 3), 1 white-laced Buff and 1 all white - I'm not sure if they are the v-comb or rose comb. How do I tell?

Sorry to hear about the dog attack! That happened to a neighbor of mine, he lost everything. It looked like a battlefield in his coop.
I hope you recover soon.
