calling any one from missouri

I still have some cages for sale, I thought they were sold to another BYC member but she had some car trouble then never returned my emails so I'm not holding them any longer, it's been months. They would be great for swap meets to put your birds or small animals for sale in. I never seem to have enough of anything to sell at swap meets since I have such a small flock. I've been using a couple of them for my Serama's for temporary homes while I build in my cages but they seem very adequate for a pair of such small birds. They are study enough to stack and it's not too messy as long as you have some cardboard or something between the layers so they wouldn't take up a lot of space at a sale. They are not too heavy for me to move either so it's not a huge deal to move them.

I'm about 40 minutes north of Springfield, Mo.

I'm also looking for a couple of large fowl Cochin hens and a couple of bantam Cochin hens or Silkie hens so I would definitely do some trading.

dang! someone on tulsa craigslist has 300 birds for 1200 bucks. they said 26-27 are large fowl, rest are bantam. bet they can be bought for under a grand.

why dont i ever have any money when stuff like this comes up.

I agree with you. Wish I could let them out more often.
Unfortunately it sounds like you and I both are in the same boat with inconsiderate neighbors.

I am in a rural area. I have several large lots that I could let them free range in and they would not bother anyone bot those ..... neighbors. I would always have to put them in at night anyway due to the other night preditors but it would be great if they could free range without having to be supervised.

they might get a little crowded around here, but i bet i could find room for all of them!

oh well, theres always later in the winter.

i had to downsize because of back trouble, but they finally found some drugs that work real good. now i have to start restocking.

i have had well over 1000 birds on the place, and i live in the middle of town!

wasnt that bad, i keep everything in pens.

we had chickens, pea fowl, pheasants, pigeons, guinnies, ducks, geese, and turkies all at the same time.

course that was about 7-8 years ago, and the pens have since been removed for the most part. gotta get started rebuilding!

we had about 20 pygmie goats, 3 potbelly pigs, a lamb, and a couple of horses at the same time.

man i shouldnt have thought of all that, now i realy want to get my pens rebuilt and restocked!

My girls have not slowed down yet. My little bantie is molting but I am getting 13-15 a day from everyone else.

Decided I am going to the Amish in Clark Saturday morning to see if someone will butcher my birds for me. A friend gave me directions to a family that does his. Tried to reschedule with my normal butcher for sooner than the 7th but he is full up. They will be 8 weeks old Wednesday and I don't want to keep them two more weeks. Too expensive and quite honestly, a pain in the butt.

Crossing my fingers that my eggs arrive in the mail tomorrow. We turned on my son's incubator last night to get the temp regulated before they arrive. Yeah- love baby chicks.
