I took my boys out yesterday and pulled them on their sleds with the 4-wheeler. We live on a private road and its still covered with ice and snow so we had a blast. I try to get full enjoyment out of the snow while my boys are still interested.

Chickenshagg- I agree with you. Missouri wouldn't be Missouri without the seasons. My chickens may hate the snow but the rest of us love it. Brings out the kid in all of us.

Here's to a 4 day weekend.

The only time I left home yesterday was to go and get gas for my son's fourwheeler. My two boys tied their sled and went out across the yard. The snow was so deep that the fourwheeler kept gettng stuck until the managed to pack down a path in the snow. I remember the days of being out playing in the snow all night especially after I bought my first 4-wheel drive truck! Now I just want to stay in the house by the fire. Perhaps I'm just getting old.

I still like the snow!

Another super cold morning. I don't want to even go outside! but I must go check on the chickens. I think they feel neglected because I haven't been out there much. We don't have the laying light on since I;ve had them medicated. What would be the point of that? Anyway, we also have a new puppy in the house... oh, boy... I better update my tagline!

It appears the weathermen may be wrong this time. We seem to have missed the snow. Not that we don't have enough already.

This snow needs to go away because my chickens are eating themselves out of the house. I have been giving them a head of lettuce or cabbage a couple times a week as well as all the food scraps, bread, corn they can eat. Man, can they eat. The feed supply is going quick. They are still laying, other wise I would not be so generous.

Looks like we will be going back to school tomorrow.

We got about an inch of new snow today. Maybe a bit more here on the east side of the state. Just enough to cover the dirty snow!

if i had known winter was gonna last this long i would have stayed in hibernation a couple more months.

i hate winter, at least if it lasts longer than a couple of days.

It sounds like the rest of you didn't get what we did! We got about 7-8 inches! I did't leave at all today! Hope we dont get anymore of this junk, I have had enough for this winter.
