calling any one from missouri

Is anyone going to the Keytesville auction on 8-13? I have some goats I need to sell and wondered if any of you who go often could tell me whether there is anything I need to do to sell them at Keytesville. Do I just show up with them? Do I need to call ahead or have them checked by a vet or anything?

Howdy fellow Missourians! My name is Candice, I live in NW MO - Daviess County, nearest town of any size is Cameron. My family has lived in Daviess Co. for over 100 years so it's very special to me living here.

We have a small place (26 acres) of hay and forest, put help on the family row crop farm. The only livestock I have now are my cutie chickens which are more pet than livestock.

We are a FFA/4-H family. My daughter (9) is in the same 4-H club as I was many years ago

. This will be my 2nd year to homeschool our daughter because the local school is not the greatest and it's too costly to drive her to the better school in our county. We also have a grown son (19) who is currently living in South Dakota but moving home this month - yipee! And yes, they are full siblings,

one was just a welcome surprise.

My daughter and I want to help a heritage breed chicken, we are leaning toward raising Buckeyes. She loves the Showgirls, so I hope to get her a couple but need to figure out a fencing/coop solution to protect them from the larger birds.

Welcome, Stuck in the Coop!

I live just east of Cameron -- in Kingston. We raise Buckeyes. If you have any questions about them, please give me a shout! We do sell hatching eggs and day-old chicks Oct - May if that is of interest to you.

I live in St Louis. I have a house duck. Do any of you hatch ducks cause I was wanting another one. Nice to see people from missouri on here.

Stuck in the Coop --

I have ALBC/Brown and Urch now, and will have ALBC/Urch after November. We will probably hatch Oct - May for shipping, but you're local so could go into June.

PM me for details. I have pics of two on my BYC page.

I wont be going to the sale but no, you don't have to do anything but show up. You don't even have to stay for the sale because they will mail you a check. They may not bring what you want but they will sell.

I like going to this sale but haven't been since early spring.

Good luck!

Hey! I'm just west of St. Louis out in Defiance! I know of someone, not on BYC that had ducks in the spring. Once bowling season kicks back up in a few weeks I'll see if she still has them and is hatching any. Are you looking for a particular breed?
