Hi,

I don't live in MO, but I need some help from someone who does. So many people on BYC are so helpful, I'm hoping this is ok to ask.

I'm a coordinator for National English Shepherd Rescue. There is an male ES mix, in a shelter in Reeds Spring, who needs a foster home. He's a friendly dog, but might be dog aggressive, so I need a foster who has some experience with that behavior. We don''t have any foster homes available who can take him.

Do any of you know any one who might be willing to take in a foster dog? They would have to fill out our application and have references checked.

Thanks for any help. You can email me direct with questions.

Kim

Are you on Facebook? (meaning your organization with pics of the dog.) I have a friend that is a ... shall we say, "dog activist" that knows a lot of people. I could share it with her.

National English Shepherd Rescue has a website and a Facebook page, but the dog is not on it yet. We don't list dogs until we have them in our foster care and we are looking for a foster for this dog.

He is in a shelter, in Reed Springs, MO. Tricia at Tri Lakes Humane Society contacted us to help with him, because he needs more attention and training than he's getting in their kennel. His name is Shep, his photo is here:

I put all this on my FB, and tagged my friend. She knows a lot of "dog people" and works with shelters to place dogs as well.
Hopefully something will pan out. Shep looks like a sweetie.
