I wanna see stag beetle babies.

I keep finding these weird cocoons outside... they are kind of reddish brown and about half and inch perhaps. They are kind of spirally and I find them in the dirt.


who do they belong to?

I tried to keep one in a jar on a leaf but it wiggled out of it's cocoon and died. A little white maggot kind of thing.

do you know what it is?
