Good idea! I bet if you put the rice in a blender to break/soften it up for them to eat..it would work good!
Good, I have plenty of rice! WIC here in KY now has whole grain rice, whole grain bread, and wheat tortillas on it. I can't find the tortillas, the bread is too dry, and we can only eat so much rice! This would give me something else to do with it
Awesome! The worms eat it..and then the birds eat them...and so the birds get all the good vitamins from that rice! Just grind it up for them to be sure the worms can eat it. Your quail are gonna love these guys!
OMG! I just dumped out the beetle bedding to send to you guys because of the eggs. There was another million teeny..tiny micro worms just hatched! I put them in a seperate cup to send...Do you think they can take over the earth?
Okay ladies, the little buggers have been sent out!
I hope they make it to you alive!
I sent over 300# Its enough to get a good colony started...plus i sent another little cup of a zillion teeny-tiny babies and eggs.
Get your wormie houses ready!
All you need to do when you get them is dump them all (small babies too) in the container with bedding youre going to use. And maybe give them some food...a carrot or something..just watch out for mold.(it will kill them)..dont let the veggies get moldy..thats why i use carrots now..they dont really get moldy like the other veggies. Let me know if they make it alive..i put holes in their containers and in the shipping box also..
And i wrote "dont kill the wormies" And "easy! easy! Fragile!" on the box!
