Calling MA chicken raisers---a question

As you know, we've had a cool and wet Spring Summer season. As of July sometime, one report said we were 8 inches above normal in rainfall; and also cooler than normal in temp. (global warming

)

I got 7 RIR chicks on May 23; and they've been sneezing since almost the first week of their life!!! No deaths, and it's been 16 weeks now, and they still sneeze; one now has a bubbly eye, which is not a good sign.

My question: ARE ANY OF YOU HAVING SIMILAR RESPIRATORY ISSUES W/ YOUR BIRDS?

Could this be a weather-related phenomenon. I would love to hear from you

We live on the coast, so our weather has been different. No respiratory problems here...

Eastern CT here. On the news last night they were mentioning the higher than average rainfall here. I haven't had any problems though.

We are wet and moldy here. I had a few chicken sneezes (they sound like Smurfs!-LOL)
But they ran around in the sun and all was well!

extremely wet and moldy. Sux for my basement but the chickens are more than fine.

btw, don't make fun of global warming if there's anyone you care about in Louisiana or Texas. Climate change models include our weird summer - big fluctuations and hyperactive storm seasons are part of it all.

I live on the MA/NH border and also got my chickens end of May. The weather of course is wet here too but our run is mostly covered. We use grass clippings in the run and I turn it over at least once a day sometimes twice to keep it from getting moldy. We haven't had any problems with sneezing. I hope your's get better.

We're on the MA/NH border and we haven't had any respiratory issues. Our chickens are 2 years old now. We did have some water issues with rain getting into the coop, but we changed the pine shavings more frequently and they're doing fine. Hope yours improve.

What are you using for bedding for the babies?
Have you tried putting garlic in the water? or Vetrx?
I hearya on the lousy weather...it's been something else.

No problems here. Are they kepy inside a lot? It could be due to overcrowding. Try putting some vetrx in the water and see if that helps.
