We are planning a camping trip some time in August. We will be tenting it with our 2 boys ages 6 and 9. We are looking to only travel 8 to 10 hours by truck. We are in south east Michigan close to I75 and US 23. We want to head south. We are thinking Tennessee, Kentuky, or the Carolinas. Doing a surch for a nice campground is overwhelming. Also I do not know the areas, to know what else there is to do. We like a campground with power, water, a pool and CLEAN bathrooms, and things for the kids to do. We would also love to see some great things your state has to offer.
We have always just stayed in Michigan for vacations. There is so many things it offers, great camping hiking, fishing, boating, beaches and parks. But it is time to show the kids there are other great places to.We have been to Gatlinburg Tenn. when we were first married and my husand had a hard time getting me back home it was so beautiful. Give me woods, trails, streams, nature and I am a happy person.
So if you can tell me about some wonderful places in one of these states to take the family for a buget friendy camping trip go ahead and brag about all the great places your state has to offer. I need ideas.
