calling to all quail experts

ok im going to start some cortinux quail next year and I need some info.Can you plz show me a pick of how big they are compared to youhand or somthin when there ADULTS.Id also like to see how big there eggs are.And I was wondering if I could have them live in my basement which isnt cold or to hot.And I was wondering if its ok I can keep them in a rabbit hutch.I am also wondering what the usial mininum order is at a feed store close to you.

I'm not an expert, but mine are in a rabbit hutch and they do just fine.

My feed store doesn't sell them, unfortunately. If you look on craiglist you might find some, though.

I keep mine in my kitchen, so I don't think a basement would be bad. They poop a LOT though, so if they're in the house you'll want to clean them out pretty often. Smelly house = bad.

Eggs are....a little bigger than a large grape, maybe. They're not big at all. Adults can be held in one hand (if they hold still). Most of their size is feathers. LOL

oh yeah I forgot to ask how many cotornix quail will fit in my 3 by 5 foot rabbit hutch.
