calls question...?

They will set there own eggs but have a really bad habit of leaving the eggs 3 weeks in! and they are also one of the hardest of domesticated breeds to raise(depending on the quality of your ducks and the background lines they come from).
 
they can be tuffer than normal ducks. Yes they will brood their own, incubation isnt bad if you are good at waterfowl incubation but can be tricky if you are a new comer to it.
personally, I'd incubate to be safe, they can be bad about abandoning as they mentioned above.

My lil white call duck hen (Angel) did really well when she went broody on her 9 eggs.

and she raised 5 of those 8 to maturity (the 3 where killed by a snake)

. In fact b/c of how she tried to protect them from every thing, (even me) I changed her name (Snow Ball from Hell)

! B/c she would charge every thing that came close to the babies, she would even attack my legs sometimes (of course she couldn't do anything)
