I have 8 4 week old guineas and 2 4-5 week old chicks in a cage but they are really getting cramped. I have a large cage outside for them. It has been in the 70's at night and 80-90 usually during the day but it has gotten up to almost 100 the past couple weeks. (We are in tennessee)

Will they be okay outside?

I would generally keep my keets inside a bit longer, but if even after moving the chicks outside there isn't really enough room inside for the keets, then I'd probably move them outside. Just make sure they have plenty of protection from the rain. They should be fine temperature wise, just watch and make sure that when it rains they don't get very wet. (Keets don't do well in wet weather until they're full grown.)

Good luck

I move them outside about 4-5 weeks, but we live in South Florida, so generally don't have a problem with cooler temps. I do move them to a covered pen that is protected from the elements, which I keep them in for about 6 more weeks until I let them start to free range during the day.

Mine went out at 2 weeks.

It's about 90-95 during the day and about 60 at night. Obviously I turn the heat light on at night and off first thing in the mornings. They are in a makeshift run with a doghouse (where the light is). They have a tarp over half of their run and the other half is hardware cloth top. They're now 4 weeks old and are doing fabulous. I'll let them keep the light at night for another 2 weeks, they're already getting feathered out nicely.

I'll start letting them out during the day for a few hours when they're about 6 weeks old, at 8 weeks they're kicked out to free range and are on their own

alright thanks for all the replies everyone. I am going to move the larger cage into the shed so they can still have the heat light at night and when they get a little bigger i will move them outside.
