so I raise waterfowl and potbelly pig, chickens the whole deal. You can see my collection fairly well from the back road by my house. I cam home monday and saw a box on my porch... thought I got a package... it was a mallard duckling about a day or two old. I thought oh crap, took out of the box thinking well I guess I will grow it out and watch it leave this fall. Put it on the ground it has a bad leg usable but not into the wild usable. Im hoping it heals. I know someone thought they were helping but, they could have at least asked or talked to me. I now have a lone mallard in a brooder with no real game plan.

Its leg lags behind it and is weak he puts light pressure on it but doesnt really use it he limps along. No swelling, no wound so hopefully a spray or something. Hes otherwise very healthy and active

Water therapy may help too. Place him in some warm water so he can use that leg with out having to put pressure on it. Might want to try some b complex too for support.
This was my thought too. Hes been bathing and "swimming" we also take him on short walks to keep it limber. Ducks are so resilient.
