Camera inside coop

I was wanting to watch my girls at night with a camera just for fun. Some of them (maybe all) blink and flash. I can't have that disturbing them. Just wondered if anyone may be doing this and what they use.
I also use Arlo cameras for my coop and run. I have them set to detect motion so there’s no lights on them unless they or something is/are moving. It’s come in handy way too many times for me not to have them now. They aren’t the cheapest option but they work great!!

do the Arlo cams require a subscription fee?

We have an indoor Blink in our coop, and several outdoor ones around the premises so I know what predators are lurking, if any.

We've got one in our hatching incubator too. It has a blue light that comes on that can be shut off but I forgot. This chick saw it come on after it hatched and ran over to it like, "Are you my mommy?"

I think you have the option to not have a subscription. But then you’re not going to have any ability to record, set up zones or have any way to look back at a certain picture or video. The subscription is relatively low. I use the Arlo system for my chickens and my house and for an unlimited amount of cameras it’s $15 per month. You can save videos for 60 days and send videos you record as well. I like being able to set up a recording zone so i can get an alert when a chicken or whatever Im concerned with moves and not constantly getting alerts if the wind blows and a tree moves.

ah, ok- thanks! I can see myself wanting to store footage in case I capture anything really cute :)
I just worked though the app, I don't think there is any fees unless you want "their monitoring or "their" cloud storage. Looks like I just need Micro SD cards to record. 🤷

shopping for a camera to keep in my small duck coop..

Do the wyze cameras require you to pay for a monthly subscription?
No. We have memory cards in the cameras that record for us and save any video we want. It works through our wifi so we can save the video to our phone too

I have a Power over Ethernet Amcrest pan tilt zoom camera of some kind. It can also be powered off of a normal power supply, but needs to be plugged into a router so you can access it. Works well, but it might be overkill. I'll have to post more tomorrow since the chooks are in bed and I am tired.
