I have a small flock of Golden Campines that I got from a breeder. They are truly one of my favorite breeds that I raise. If you are wanting lap chickens however, they are probably not the breed for you. Mine are very alert and active but I would not consider them wild or flighty. The hens are great layers and never go broody. They are also great free rangers and are very savvy at avoiding the hawks. My roos are have never been aggressive towards me and the one pictured below is the "Barnyard Greeter". He always comes running, hoping I'll have him a little treat.
