Hello! One of my roosters,4 months old,
Cannot walk. He’s walking on his hocks and his toes are curled in. He does move and flex them when you pick him up.

His comb is still bright, has an appetite, is alert & vocal.

For the last 3 days I’ve put him inside, given him a dog crate, poultry cell 2x a day, b12 2x a day, added cow vitamin v complex paste, and scrambled eggs daily. Yesterday I added electrolytes to his water.

Is there anything else I can do for him? I really could use some encouragement.

How does his poop look?
Normal or watery or green or...?

When did you last deworm?

Did you inspect him and the entire coop carefully for poultry mites?

Did you get any new chickens recently?

It looks normal maybe a tad bit green but nothing crazy.

Haven’t dewormed. Haven’t seen any mites, but I didn’t know mites could cause leg paralysis?

No new chickens.

By sucking the chickens blood they cause anemia and severe weakness and even death. They also can transmit all kinds of diseases.

Worms deprive them of nutrients and cause vitamin deficiencies leading to drowsiness, lameness and emaciation.

Checked for mites and no current sign. This is his latest poop with flash which according to Google is normal?
